DISEASE! Three weeks after planting out our Hispi cabbages, they have developed an unfortunate disorder. White, blistery patches have appeared on some of the leaves, which leads us to believe that they have…white blister.
If this is the case, we need to remove the offending leaves and cast them onto the bonfire.
If anyone can positively identify this disorder from the picture above, then please get in touch.
Now, where did we put the Zippo…?
Not a positive identification but you might have a case of the old albugo candida: ‘white rust’. Minimise humidity (stop it raining so much by dancing around the crop) and maintain good air flow in the crop; cutting out the affected leaves would be a start.
