After months of patiently waiting to see if the gamble of planting out our leggy dwarf bean seedlings has paid of, we can finally reveal that… yes, we have a harvest.
It may not be the most abundant crop right now but these deep purple beauties are ready for the kitchen (where they’ll turn green when cooked). They’ve been picked young so should be extra tender and will help the plants put their energies into producing plenty more.
We’ve succession sown a few varieties of French beans so should see a steady harvest throughout summer.
