Competition time! The Veg Plot

Win! Tickets to BBC Gardeners’ World Live

BBC GW Live Skinny Jeans Gardeners

Rejoice! We’ve done it again. We have sweet-talked, cajoled and scribbled IOUs on backs of seed packets in order to secure a pair of prize tickets to this year’s BBC Gardeners’ World Live. And now it’s over to you lot to try and win them.

We go most years, stumbling around with mouths agape at the shiny gardening trinkets, majestically blooming flora and plastic cups of free booze tasters at the adjacent BBC Good Food Show Summer. This year – the shame – we are unable to navigate the highways north in order to enjoy the fun (‘other commitments’) but we’re rather hoping our competition winners will tell us all about it instead (although we won’t complain if they can’t be arsed).

Among this year’s highlights are a new rose festival, a whopping big floral marquee and some of the biggest names in telly gardening, including Monty Don, Joe Swift, Carol Klein, Alan Titchmarsh and latest TV gardening sensations the Skinny Jeans Gardeners (pictured). For the full range of green fingered treats, check out the show website.

All you need to do to win a pair of tickets to BBC Gardeners’ World Live (including entry for the BBC Good Food Show Summer), NEC 16-19 June 2016, is simply log into Twitter, make sure you are following @thirstygardener and @BBCGWLive and retweet our BBCGWLive ticket competition tweet with the hashtag #ThanksThirsty.

All names successfully completing the criteria above will go into into our ‘Barrel of Wildest Dreams’, and the winners will picked out randomly on 8 June 2016.

Bonus money off discount!

If you’re not one of our lucky winners then don’t despair, we’ve also managed to secure a discount for BBC Gardeners’ World Live tickets bought online. Standard pricing for tickets cost £22.50 but you lot can get 20% off here: https://www.theticketfactory.com/gwl/online/ if you use the code: MV20
