At this time of year, we can usually be found basking in the glory of our non-placing in the Bath & West Cider competition. This year however, our cider wasn’t ready in time as it’s still fermenting away in the Brewing Shed, blissfully ignoring all competition deadlines.
We usually ferment in the cupboard under the stairs, but this season, the barrels were banished to the Brewing Shed which is a lot colder. This means slower fermentation, which should mean a better quality cider, or so the experts tell us.
We await the results with bated breath/parched lips.
